Types of SEO

Search Engine Optimization or SEO is of 3 types.

  • On-Page SEO
  • Off-Page SEO
  • Technical SEO
What is SEO?

1- On-Page SEO

Optimizing the content of the blogpost in such a manner that the blog post is able to appear in top searches on its own is known as On-page SEO.

There are various ways to optimize the post.

a) Keyword Research
One of the most essential and primary processes of optimizing your blogpost well is to use appropriate Keywords in the post that are heavily searched.

The higher the search for the Keyword, the better it is.

There are many free and paid Keyword Research tools that you may use like Google Keyword Planner, SEMRUSH, Ahrefs, Ubersuggest, etc.

I mentioned earlier in one of my blogposts about important plugins to install before you start writing.

You can learn about Yoast, which is one of the best-known SEO plugins that can be used to optimize the content of the blog post.

b) Quality of the content
Please be very mindful of the fact that the quality of the content that you are writing must not be compromised.

You should write original matter in your own language and never copy the content from someone else’s blog and paste it in your blog post.

That is not worth investing time. Google can identify that and may block you.

Well researched posts are always recognized.

2- Off-Page SEO

When the efforts are made to increase traffic and the ranking of the blog by promoting the content on external platforms, it is known as Off-Page SEO.

Let me tell you how off-page SEO is done?

a) Comments
Whenever you read an interesting blog where you can add value through the content of one of your posts written earlier, you can leave a comment for the readers and also may leave the link of your blog post.

This can help people and also give you traffic. Usually, Quora is a good platform to do so.

b) Guest Posts
Guest posts are a very popular way to rank high. Here, you need to send a request to other high traffic blog owners to accept a Guest post from you.

They can publish your post and you will receive a very high-quality backlink.

c) Social Forums
You can join various social forums to help people get more clarity on blogging related queries.

d) Social Media
You can post your blog posts on your social media pages to grow organic traffic.

I have already written a blog explaining what backlinks are and how you can create them. Please follow the post here:

As the name suggests, Technical SEO implies to manage technical aspects of the blog. A few of the things that one must take care of under Technical SEO are:

a) Loading Speed
The loading speed of the blog post is very crucial. If not optimized correctly, it may result in a high bounce rate.

b) Security
Use cache plugins on WordPress to keep your blog secured.

c) Regular monitoring of Google Search Console.

Please note, SEO is important because it helps you grow organic traffic. Also, with the help of SEO, the relevant audiences can be targeted.
